Kids@BT9 Defibrillator Success – Thank you!
February was a busy month for Kids@BT9! We spent the whole month doing all sorts of fundraising! This included; A ‘Red Day’, 100 square raffle and we even opened on a Saturday for a fun-day! (Our personal favourite) Our staff, parents and children all joined us for a big fundraising morning! We had face-painting, magic shows and much much more! We did all of this in the hope of raising the funds to purchase a defibrillator for the nursery. Thank you to everyone who helped make our fundraising dreams a reality! We honestly couldn’t have done this without your help.
From all of us here, we are pleased to say that thanks to the generosity and support from parents, staff and local businesses who donated money, prizes and all the other lovely things! We managed to raise a total of £2080 – INCREDIBLE! This allowed us to finally purchase the defibrillator, however it didn’t stop there! We raised £500 over our target! This allowed us to a very worthwhile charity, Cardiac Risk in The Young.
Last week, we were joined by a member of the fire service! They came and trained us to use the defibrillator properly and give us some added preparation in the event of emergencies. In the near future, we also hope to offer a free First Aid training evening to any parents in the nursery who are interested – dates will be released closer to the time.
Thanks again to everyone who helped us raise the funds for this wonderful cause, we couldn’t have achieved this without you! Our nursery is now safer and more prepared for emergencies than ever before!
